Welcome back everyone! Happy New Year to you and your families. 

After two very busy terms in Year 1, where we worked extremely hard to develop not only our listening and concentration skills, but also our understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and  the teacher's expectations, we are beginning our third term in Maple class with excitement for our next steps in our learning journey. 

This term we are asking ourselves about how life has changed the last two centuries and we are going to find out about those changes by studying the life of the Victorians and comparing it with our own life. Do you know that the Victorians were named after Queen Victoria, who was the first and last Empress of the British Empire?

We cannot wait to learn more about healthy eating, to express ourselves through art and explore more the properties of different materials. Every day we will get better and stronger in every single subject because we know why we come to Mrs Pavlidou's class......to learn, and we know very well that learning is fun, learning is exciting!

I hope that everyone is going to do their best again this term.
