Our school follows the Faringdon Academy of Schools (FAoS) Admissions Policy. Full details can be found on our website under the ‘Policies’ section.


Admissions are administered on our behalf by the Local Education Authority (Oxfordshire County Council). The dates relating to each year’s admissions are available on the Oxfordshire County Council website. Parents are strongly advised to meet the timetable requirements detailed by OCC.

If you are unhappy with the place your child is offered you can appeal this through Oxfordshire County Council's Admissions Appeals process.

School Admissions


The admission process is through Oxfordshire County Council, important dates are:


  • 25 October 2018 - parents can start to apply 
  • 15 January 2019 - closing date for on-time applications
  • 16 April 2019 – allocation day: letters sent (by second class post) and emails sent detailing the offer of a school place
  • September 2019 – start of the school year

Children starting school for the first time:


You must make an application for your child to start primary or infant school for the first time in the Autumn Term after your child's third birthday. It is a legal requirement that all children are in full time education by the beginning of the term of their 5th birthday. All children may start in September after their 4th birthday.
