PSHE/RSHE

At Shrivenham C of E Primary School where our school motto is ‘All things are possible for those who believe’, our pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is at the heart of our school ethos and is embedded in our broad and balanced curriculum.

The intent of our P.S.C.H.E. curriculum at our school is to deliver a balanced and broadly-based curriculum which promotes the personal, spiritual, social, cultural, mental and physical development of all pupils and prepares them for the opportunities, experiences and responsibilities of later life and enables them to become healthy, independent, responsible members of society.

Our curriculum is accessible to all.  It promotes British values and aims to provide pupils with opportunities to learn about their rights and responsibilities and to recognise what it means to be part of a diverse society, recognising that as citizens we are equal but different.

Our aims are:

  • to help pupils develop the knowledge and skills to help them understand how they are developing personally and socially
  • to explore the moral, social and cultural issues in their lives as they grow up in modern Britain.
