Hello everyone. Welcome to Sycamore Class page. On this page you will be able to find out information about what is happening in our class and about the fun things we will be studying . Our topic for the Spring Term is World War II. We will be having a theme day in January, where we will be dressing up as children from World War II. It will be a great opportunity to learn lots of fun facts about what life would have been like.
Our PE day has changed this term to Thursday afternoon.
On Wednesday 19th January, Sycamore class had our World War II day. Everyone dressed up (thanks to the parents for such an amazing effort) and we came to school, ready to be evacuated! After making our identity labels and having had our ID cards checked, we headed off to the hall ready to go.
However, the transport was delayed, so we came back to class, to make gas masks and do some baking, 1940's style. Later in the day we were able to try our delicious cake and everyone agreed it was a success.
The children took part in air raid drills and watched Pathe news to find out how the war began.
It was a great day and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Here are all the spellings that you will be learning this term. We will be practising in class and there will be activities for you to complete on EdShed each week.
