We are going to learn to touch type over the next few weeks. To do this we need use the correct fingers on the keyboard.
Please look at the posters below to learn what each finger is called and which finger you use on each key on the keyboard.
I have set several touch typing 2dos on Purplemash. These will be available on Wednesday 28th and due in the following Wednesday.
If you want to do more, find the 2type app on Purple mash and practice.
Alternative options:
- If you don't have laptop/Ipad to use, be creative and make a keyboard on the back of a cereal packet. Colour in the keys and learn where each one is. You could even make a laptop or computer from cardboard boxes just for fun!
- Another option is to work through the e-safety videos and activities in the E-safety document below. There are also help sheets and information for parents to read to about online safety.
