Each member of our school family will be given every possible opportunity to develop their abilities, confidence and resilience, to flourish and fulfil their unique potential, to work well together and to positively contribute to the wider community.
'All things are possible for one who believes' (Mark 9:23)
Our core Christian values with the biblical references are:
Happiness - Jesus' words about Happiness (Matthew 5, Luke 6)
- The Beautiful Gate (Acts 3)
Respect - The Good Samaritan (Luke 10)
- Jesus and the Children (Matthew 19, Mark 10, Luke 18)
Honesty - Jesus and the Taxman (Luke 19)
- The Pharisee and the Tax Collector (Luke 18)
As a Church of England School, our Christian Values underpin all that we do. Each half term we focus on a particular value. We display this value in our school hall using images and quotes, from the Bible and elsewhere, to help the children fully understand what they mean and how they link to their own lives.
Our values are the foundations of our behaviour policy, and we use them to talk to the children about their actions, to help them understand consequences. This then helps them to make changes and choices to ensure they are following our values within school and in their own lives at home.
